About the client

Furniture Bank is a registered charity and social enterprise that has been helping people in the Greater Toronto Area establish their homes since 1998.  It transfers gently used furniture and household goods donated by the community to people who are in need of a fresh start.  The organization’s fleet of trucks is on the road five days a week throughout the year, picking up donated furniture and delivering items to the new homes of formerly displaced individuals.

Collaborating with community social agencies, we collect society’s unwanted home furnishings to solve the crippling issue caused by ‘affordable housing’ creating true homes for all families in extreme need while saving our communities shrinking landfills and environmental benefits.

Every weekday it needs furniture on-site to welcome 20 families who have secured ‘affordable housing’ and we provide them with the opportunity to handpick donated items to create ‘homes’ from this housing.  Items selected by the clients are then delivered directly to their homes the next day to these families.

The status quo

When we started with the client in 2014 they had no digital marketing infrastructure. The website was sub-optimized for organic traffic and the Google Ads Grant account was not being well managed. Orders generated from organic ads were on the decline while Grant usage was only about 26% and CPC was well under the $2.00 CPC “Grants” limit.

Furthermore, the value of the marketing programs wasn’t being measured as there was no mechanism to track conversions.

How we helped

We optimized the Google Ads campaigns and performed Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

We reorganized the campaigns into more logical groups, revamped paid/organic keyword strategy, refined creative, and set up conversion tracking to facilitate further optimization. We also worked with Furniture Bank to enhance landing page performance.

Over time we were able to increase Grant spending by over 3x while increasing the average CPC beyond the $2.00 limit via Max Conversions bidding strategies. In addition, we increased the average number of monthly clicks by 88% and saw CTR increase by 627%! Most importantly, lead volume has increased by 30%.

All in, we’ve helped the client manage over $730,000 in Google Grants money.

About the client

Quickcash4teststrips.com redistributes consumers’ unused diabetic test strips to diabetics in their local area. They sell excess test strips outside of their local area at a price that’s 75-80% lower than retail.

The status quo

When we started with the client in 2013 they were generating all of their business through regional newspaper ads. Orders generated from these ads were on the decline. The client started testing Google Ads as an alternative.

The client first engaged with another agency that ran a number of targeted display ads (GDN) and generated no new orders.

How we helped

We implemented paid search campaigns with Google Ads & Microsoft Ads, Remarketing via Facebook Ads, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).  The client saw an increase of 1,126% in conversion volume, a cost reduction of 79% per conversion, and an increase in ROI of 267%.

The client’s business has been transformed into a highly profitable enterprise through thoughtful, strategic online efforts. About the client

Hewitt Technologies Inc. sells Toyota/Lexus secondary air injection system bypass kits to consumers through their online store. These kits offer a cost-effective solution for the failure-prone secondary air injection Systems found on certain Toyota trucks and SUVs. The bypass kits can prevent many of the trouble codes caused by a mechanical failure of the secondary air pump or a secondary air valve saving their customers as much as $2000-$4000 on repair bills.

The status quo

When we started with the client in 2017 they were running Google shopping and paid search ads in-house and had no SEO (Search Engine Optimization) program in place. The paid and organic search channels were not growing and they needed to free up time to work on other aspects of the business.

How we helped

We revamped their shopping and search campaigns and implemented a comprehensive SEO program. As a result, they saw 204% more conversions, 72% more revenue, and a 9.5% decrease in cost/conversion.

How we helped

We rebuilt their paid search campaigns cutting wasted ad spend, and improving creatives, keyword strategy, and targeting. Once the cost/conversion numbers were under control we were able to identify winning tactics and scale the campaigns for greater conversion volume.
